“A Fallen Limb”
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says
Grieve not for me. However, remember the best of times.
The laughter, the song and the good life I have lived.
Continue my heritage, I am counting on you.
My mind is at peace, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I was truly blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry me.
I will miss y’all dearly. So keep your chin up.
Until the day comes when we’re all together as one.
