Jerry Lee Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Jerry Ricardo Lee, affectionately known as “Jake,” of Atlanta, Georgia. He graced this world for 79 years, born on October 21, 1945, and peacefully departed on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in Jonesboro, Georgia. Born to Reverend Moses A. Lee and Leila M. Lee in Atlanta, Georgia, Jerry attended L.J. Price High School, where he was a talented drummer in the marching band. Following his education, he honorably served in the United States Air Force, earning the respect of his peers as a dedicated veteran. His professional journey included roles at Macy’s, the U.S. Postal Service, and other organizations, where he formed lasting friendships over the years. Jerry found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially savoring a good meal and listening to his favorite music. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Moses A. Lee and Leila M. Lee, as well as his beloved sister, Barbara A. Lee (Hughes). He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Dameion, and daughter, Mia; his brothers, Ronald D. Lee (Franshon), Otis P. Lee (Carolyn), and Alfred Lee (Martha A.); along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Jerry’s vibrant spirit and warm presence made him the heart of every gathering, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service will be held 1 PM - 4 PM on Sunday March 2, 2025 at The Wellness Spot 3397 Main Street College Park.  Please keep his family in prayer.
